BENDIGO'S cycling star Jack Haig was 10th in Saturday's under-23 men's road race at the national titles near Ballarat.

Haig finished nine seconds behind gold medallist Caleb Ewan from New South Wales.
Victory in the 137.6km race, a 13-lap showdown on the Buninyong circuit, completed a titles double for Ewan.
The talented youngster won Thursday night's under-23 criterium.
Haig's run on the road throughout 2013 included winning the national road series, which included victory in the Tour of Tasmania.
Other Bendigo cyclists in Saturday's under-23 road race were Sam Crome, 14th at 27-seconds behind the winner, and Chris Hamilton, 32nd at 1:51.
Tasman Nankervis did not finish, and Robert Oakenfull did not start.
The women's 102km road race at Buninyong starts at 1.30pm on Saturday.
Bendigo's Peta Mullens was silver medallist in Thursday night's criterium and will be a ride to watch in the 10-lap duel.
Beth Duryea and Bendigo clubmate Kate Finegan will also contest the women's road race.
