That amount of money could help change lives and would benefit so many.
Fireworks may be spectacular but it can't be justified spending millions when there are more important issues that also require money.
Where does the money come from to fund such events?
If it's the taxpayer who funds it then I am not happy for my hard-earned money to be wasted on fireworks.
