The Wilkinsons have been setting up the lighting at the Carols for the past 30 years.
About 10 family members and friends were busy assembling the collection of spotlights and flashing lights from 7am Saturday.
Scott Wilkinson said the collection started as a couple of spotlights.
“It’s grown over the years,” he said.
“We’ve purchased more and more. Our family does it for free.
“I think every year we do it we keep getting asked to come back.”
Scott said the carols was his family’s biggest lighting display of the year.
He said the wet weather had loomed as an issue but extra precautions helped prevent it turning into a National Lampoons-style disaster.
“During the set-up we had to get all the cords out then put it them back in again once it started raining a little bit,” he said.
“Water and electricity don’t make a great mix.”
The Wilkinson family also fashioned a mini tractor into a sleigh for Santa that was complete with Christmas lights.
