The Neangar Park Golf Club member fired a three-under par 69 in Thursday's third round to move into equal third place in the final stage of qualifying school.
With one day to play, Martin is nine-under par for the tournament, six shots behind runaway leader Callan O'Reilly.
More importantly, he's eight shots inside the top 25. Players who finish inside the top 25 at the end of Friday's fourth round earn their card.
Martin had four birdies and one bogey in his third round.
He'll tee off in the final group on Friday morning.
