Phil Metcalf attended the Lets Talk Priorities forum at the Bendigo Town Hall on Tuesday.
He said the topic of drainage had been discussed but said he was yet to get a clear answer if the problem could be fixed.
“I suppose there’s not a real lot I can do about it,” he said.
“But I’m not really happy about it.
“I’ve just got to wait and see.
“I know there are higher priorities that need to be addressed, but how many years do you have to wait?”
Mr Metcalf said his property and neighbours’ properties flooded when it rained.
Council manager of engineering and public space Brett Martini said on Monday the works would be considered in the 2014/15 budget.
"It was raised many years ago as an issue and was raised again 12 months ago," Mr Martini said.
Mr Martini said high levels of flooding would make the project a high priority next financial year.
