The section is part of a $23 million upgrade.
The works include a new entrance, administration area, coffee shop, chapel and hairdresser at the Bendigo home.
Bishop of Sandhurst Les Tomlinson will bless the building on December 17 as part of the unveiling.
Mercy Health Development Manager Roman Lemke said previous stages of the redevelopment had included a new 120-bed residential aged care building and demolition of unused buildings.
“The latest stage will benefit residents, families and visitors who will be enjoying these new areas for years to come,’’ Mr Lemke said.
Mr Lemke said the new section included an additional 60 bedrooms at ground floor level.
The bedrooms have been arranged around the two central landscaped courtyards.
Previous stages of the redevelopment have been completed during the past three years.
