It has been a really busy start to the NBA regular season here with the Cavs.
We had the season opener at home versus the Brooklyn Nets and then we were on the road for two games at Charlotte and Indiana.
Some people have asked about what rookie duties we have to do.
The veterans look after us pretty well.
The main thing we rookies - Anthony Bennett, Sergey Karasev, Carrick Felix and I - have to do is bring donuts to shoot around on game days.
We had a bit of a mix up before one of the pre-season games and none of us took donuts to training.
Our penalty for not bringing the donuts was Jarrett Jack got to pick out suits for us to wear to the opening game.
As a personal stylist, Jack definitely has a bit of flair.
He picked a red suit for Sergey, a white one for AB, three-quarter pants and a shiny black jacket for Carrick and a bright, blue suit for me.
All of these were with matching top hats, too!
It definitely got a few laughs from the other boys and the coaching staff.
We won't forget the donuts again.
The atmosphere was electric for our first game on Wednesday, the crowd was right into it from the very start.
During the pre-game introductions they even had fire coming out of the scoreboard above the court.
We got the season off to a good start with a 98-94 win against Brooklyn.
It was a very good win because the Nets have loaded up this season with veterans like Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Jason Terry.
On Friday we had a loss at Charlotte, we never really got into a good flow and they pulled away late in the game to win 90-84.
After the game we flew to Indiana, to take on the Pacers the next night. Although we had better ball movement, we went down 89-74.
I got in for the last minute of the game which was my first NBA regular season action.
It was great to get a taste of the action and it just gives me more motivation to improve and be ready when the team needs me.
On Sunday we had the day off, so after getting a workout in, I went to check out the local National Football League team, the Cleveland Browns take on last year's Superbowl champions the Baltimore Ravens.
The Browns' stadium is pretty cool, it's right next to Lake Erie. Even though I was rugged up in my warmest jacket, gloves and a beanie - it was absolutely freezing.
The locals are saying it could start snowing in a couple of weeks, so that will be an experience.
If anyone would like to hear about anything in particular, you can tweet me @matthewdelly.
Have a great week.
