Bendigo Police praised the behaviour of the students.
Sergeant Jim Lee said there had been no incidents on Thursday.
"We had a special tasking unit set up just in case but we had no need for it," he said.
"It’s pleasing to see that the students are behaving in a mature and responsible way."
During the celebrations, many famous faces made an appearance, including Superman, Dorothy the Dinosaur and the team from Cool Runnings, as well as smurfs, men wearing dresses, mexican friends and zoo animals.
