On Sunday the state government claimed that 99.73 per cent of scheduled paramedic shifts ran in the first six months of the year.
“This is just a figure put out there to make it sound like it is improving,” Mr McGhie said. “It's not improved.”
Labor’s Parliamentary Secretary for Health Wade Noonan said documents attained under the Freedom of Information revealed 393 ambulance shifts didn’t operate in the first half of 2013.
Mr McGhie said the issue of unfilled rosters needed to be addressed sooner rather than later.
