More than 30 designers in total will feature in the Modern Love exhibition, which will launch before the gallery's December redevelopment.
The first international touring exhibition from Los Angeles' FIDM Museum, Modern Love reflects fashion in a contemporary world with workings ranging from haute couture designs such as museum commission Alexander McQueen gowns to t-shirts, Adidas high top runners to shoes worn by Samantha Jones in Sex in the City.
Other designers selected for the exhibition include Marc Bohan for Christian Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel, Gianni Versace, Thierry Mugler, John Galliano for Christian Dior, Miuccia Prada, Christian Louboutin, Valentino, Patrick Kelly, Christian Francis Roth, Jean-Charles Castelbajac, John Galliano for Christian Dior, Ralph Rucci, Hiroacki Ohya, Moschino, Dolce and Gabbana, Fendi, Monique L Huillier, Helmut Lang, Jean Paul Gaultier, Zac Posen, Arjan K for Body Worship and Japanese designers Yohji Yamamoto, Rei Kuwakubo, commes des garcon and Hiroacki Ohya.
The exhibition will run from October 26, 2013 to February 2, 2014.
