Detective Sergeant Mick Logan said Chase Fraser has been arrested this afternoon after the incident at a home in O'Neill Street, North Bendigo, this morning.

Fraser was charged with intentionally causing serious injury, recklessly causing serious injury and assault with a weapon.
He was remanded this afternoon to appear at the Bendigo Magistrates Court on April 11.
Detective Sergeant Logan said Fraser knew the victim.
Detective Scott Tuddenham of Bendigo police said the victim had surgery at Bendigo Health this morning and was in a serious but stable condition.
Ambulance Victoria spokesman John Mullen said paramedics were called to the scene at 12.42am.
“They treated a man with a number of stab wounds to the upper body,” he said.
“He was taken to Bendigo hospital in a stable condition.”
A witness reported police searching for the knife used in the attack and door-knocking neighbours as the hunt for the intruder started this morning.
