VicRoads regional director Mal Kersting said the installation of the new warning signs complimented earlier safety improvements, including the installation of new extended kerbing to help guide motorists approaching the intersection.
“The road surface has also been improved to enhance the skid resistance near the intersection,” he said.
The works form part of a $310,000 upgrade funded through the state’s Safer Roads Infrastructure Program which was announced in July last year.
It is expected the works will be completed by tomorrow.
