The 800m will be run about 7.15pm and coincides with the Bendigo and District Cycling Club’s track racing.
A runner-up in the past two distance series heats, Adam Parker will be one to watch.
Backmarkers Lonain Burnett and Mitch Hocking were in top form as they won the open 800m and open 400m finals respectively at Maryborough’s Highland Gathering on New Year’s Day.
Both have entered tomorrow’s Daylesford Gift, so they may not run on their home track.
A 1000m race was run at last Friday’s round of the Christmas carnival series in Bendigo.
The in-form Kerrieanne Hocking started off the 11 second mark and raced to victory in a time of 3.32.
A great battle for second placing went the way of Adam Parker from Michael Bieleny as Lonain Burnett fought on to fourth ahead of limit marker John Justice.
The sixth placegetter, Ingrid Douglas has scored 41 points in the series.
