Dux have been crowned at Bendigo Senior Secondary College and Catholic College Bendigo while Girton Grammar has revealed 89 per cent of its students ranked in the top 50 per cent of the state.
“What gives me great pride is the depth of these results, with more than half of our students finishing in the top 20 per cent of the state," Girton Grammar Headmaster Matthew Maruff said.
One of the highest VCE results in the Bendigo region came from Girton Grammar's Anusha Jayasekera, who recorded an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) score of 99.85.
CCB is celebrating a 100 per cent pass rate for their VCE and VCAL students, with Dux Grace Hamilton recording an ATAR score of 99.7.
“Grace has been a consistently dedicated and hard-working student and she thoroughly deserves hersuccess," said principal Darren McGregor.
"She is a valued member of our community where her humble nature and kindness to her fellow students have been very much appreciated."
BSSC Dux Chloe Dallas has also excelled achieving an ATAR score of 99.35.
"Chloe’s outstanding organisation and time management, and her relationship with her peers and teachers contributed to her success this year," principal Dale Pearce said.
"She is recognised for the excellent results she obtained while concurrently making substantial contributions to Bendigo Senior Secondary College and the local community."
Education Minister Martin Dixon said it was an exciting time for students and their families who could now celebrate their achievements after a challenging year.
“Congratulations to all the students who have received their results today – whether they are getting single subjects scores or graduating with their VCE – they should be very proud of what they have accomplished,” he said.
Mr Dixon said it was important for students to seek advice if their results were not what they expected.
Students have until noon on December 24, to change their university and TAFE course preferences.
