Northern Victorian MP Damian Drum and Mount Alexander Shire Mayor Michael Redden were on hand to officially open the pool at 11.30pm this morning.
The upgrade was made possible by $60,000 of state funding by the Victorian Government and $37,000 from Mount Alexander Shire Council.
Mr Drum said the improvements at the pool would encourage more people to swim.
“Having quality sporting facilities like swimming pools is central to encouraging more Victorians to get more active, more often, which is a top priority for this Government.
“Local faculties play an important role in bringing people together which is why we’re working hard to deliver great venues where residents can enjoy participating in activities they love.”
