Good question Norm Gray. (Abortion questions remain unanswered, October 20). When does Jacinta Allan think life begins?Labor MP James Merlino pointed out that of the 309 late-term abortions in 2005-2006, 42 babies were born alive. They were then left to die. What does Ms Allan think should happen to babies who survive abortion?Should they be left to die or would this be murder? Should they be disposed of, or should they be given the same medical treatment as other prematurely born infants to remain alive?Of those 309 babies, four had disabilities as minor as cleft palate; the other 180 were victims of socio-economic issues. We, your constituents, deserve some answers, Ms Allan, considering that you represented us in this parliamentary debate.LORETTA COFFEY,Bendigo
