THE flips and turns achieved on the trampoline or tumbling mat amazed spectators at yesterday’s fourth day of the Trampoline Sports Australian Championships at the Schweppes Centre in West Bendigo.Gymnasts from as far afield as South Australia, New Zealand, Queensland, Tasmania, Western Australia, New South Wales and across Victoria are vying for high scores in various disciplines.Bendigo stars Bronte Boyles, Alannah Koch, Haylee Wellard and Jaclyn McAlice have excelled in their hometown.Wellard and McAliece achieved a one-two result in the under-17 girls’ tumbling.An exciting battle was in the under-11 girls’ tumbling.Boyles scored 84.90 to be runner-up and just two points behind the winner, Queensland’s Eden Tarvit.Wellard was sixth in the under-17 girls’ double-mini and 13th in the junior girls’ double-mini.McAlice achieved ninth placing in the under-17 double-mini.
