BY 5pm tomorrow night, there will be just one winless team left in the VFL following the battle between cellar dwellers Bendigo and Frankston. After 10 rounds of the season, the Bombers and Dolphins are the only sides yet to post a win. They will meet tomorrow at Frankston Park from 2pm, with both sides desperate to secure their first four points of the season. While both sides are winless, it’s the Bombers who are stuck on the bottom of the ladder, courtesy of their percentage of 48.7 being inferior to the Dolphins’ 65.0.The Bombers will have had a 20-day break when they take to the field tomorrow.Having had the bye over the VFL split round, the Bombers haven’t played since June 8, when they were beaten by Box Hill by 47 points on Queen’s Birthday at Windy Hill. The Dolphins, who are coached by ex-North Melbourne and Sydney player, Shannon Grant, had last weekend off, with their most recent outing a 31-point loss to top-of-the-ladder North Ballarat on June 13.Bendigo and Frankston have met 10 times, with the Dolphins holding a 6-4 advantage.Six of those encounters have been played at Frankston, with the record 2-4 in favour of the Dolphins, including a 57-point victory in round 16, 2008, in their most recent meeting.Should the Bombers win tomorrow, it would not only be their first win this season, but their first victory since July 13 last year when they defeated the Northern Bullants by 32 points.Tomorrow’s action at Frankston starts at 11.10am with the reserves clash.
