United bowled superbly to take wickets regularly, although, the Tigers struggled in the field, dropping six catches.
Today's play included a controversial dismissal of Cain Ladiges, who was given out when mankaded by Cameron Davie for 25.
Ladiges had been warned twice before the mankad dismissal.
Mandurang captain Leigh Haw again led from the front, top-scoring with 55, while opener Matt Giri made 34, having earlier been dropped in the first over at slip by Alexander Collins while on 0.
Keiran Nihill bowled superbly for the Tigers, taking 5-39 off 23.5 overs.
Collins picked up 3-58 off 20 overs.
Mandurang had been 4-146, before losing its last six wickets for just 25 runs.
At stumps, United was 0-18 off five overs, with Collins and Tim Elliott both surviving the five overs.
Play resumes tomorrow at 1.30pm.
Meanwhile, in the Bendigo District Cricket Association under-17 grand final this morning, White Hills defeated Kangaroo Flat by three wickets as it chased down the Roos total of 149 with 15 balls to spare.
