POLICE have released images of the armed robbery at the Botanical Gardens Hotel in White Hills on Wednesday last week.A man carrying a knife entered the hotel about 10pm and stole money from the till.Two staff members and six patrons were inside the hotel at the time.Senior Detective Glen Fisher of the Bendigo crime investigation unit said three of the patrons chased the man along Napoleon Crescent, past Holy Rosary Primary School, across Heinz Street and into Dundas Street.The chase ended after the man crossed the railway line near Dundas Street.Senior Detective Fisher said police had received information from the public, which they were following up.Police today released CCTV images of the robbery, which show a distinct red ski jacket that the offender was wearing.He was also wearing black tracksuit pants and is of medium build.They have asked anyone who recognises the jacket or has any information about the robbery to contact them at the Bendigo CIU on 5448 1370 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.Full story in tomorrow's Bendigo Advertiser.
