A MELBOURNE man missing from a farm near Pyramid Hill for four weeks has been found dead just metres from where he was last sighted.Keith “Richard” Jones, 43, had not been seen or heard from since he walked out of his parents’ Mologa property on June 9.Victoria Police spokeswoman Sergeant Creina O’Grady said Mr Jones’ body was found on the property by a relative on Friday. She said there were no suspicious circumstances.Mr Jones leaves behind his wife Lucinda Cross and seven-year-old daughter Charlotte.Ms Cross said Mr Jones was a loving and devoted family man who devoted himself to caring for an aunt until she died two years ago.He gave up his career as an accountant to help another relative, who was hospitalised for a long period in August last year, and travelled regularly to the family share farm, which he called home, to help out.“He was such a beautiful, loving man. Under that hard exterior he was really soft and I think in his own way he decided that he didn’t want to put Lucinda and Charlotte through the pain he was going through,” she said.“I would give everything to have him back now.“I wish he would come back through the door and pick up Charlotte and swing her around and watch 16 episodes of The Pink Panther with her like he used to.”Ms Cross said her husband’s body was found 100 metres from the farm house.“He was a real blokey bloke and they all try to sort it out themselves but they need to get help. Go to your GP. Get help if you need it,” she said. The coroner will determine how long ago Mr Jones died. His funeral will be held in Bendigo – a central place for his family and friends – once the coroner releases his body, Ms Cross said.* For help or information, go to beyondblue.org.au, or phone Suicide Helpline on 1300 651 251 or Lifeline on 13 1114.
