A CHANGE of lighting at Bendigo’s newest major events precinct, Dai Gum San, is hoped to bring good luck for the annual Harvest Moon Festival this Saturday.A crane provided by Laser Electrical assisted with the lighting changeover from white to red.According to the Chinese museum the red lights symbolise good luck and happiness to all.The Harvest Moon Festival will bring together a diverse range of artists, schools and community groups including those from CreatAbility, Epsom Primary School and Fit Republic. Bendigo Chinese Association performing teams and performance drummers will be on show as well as Japanese, Malaysia and Chinese artists.Celebrated throughout the world, the festival gives thanks for the food that has been produced, future prosperity, health, families and friends. This year, the Golden Dragon Museum’s festival will retell Chinese, Korean, Japanese, and Indonesian stories through drama, dance and music. The festival will start at 6pm in the Dai Gum San precinct near the Golden Dragon Museum on Bridge Street.
