The second and third year Urban Rural and Environmental Planning students presented design proposals to a panel of experts yesterday.
The panel, consisting of City of Greater Bendigo and university representatives, real estate agents and consultants, will assess the viability of the students’ plans.
Head of the Community Planning and Development program Trevor Budge said students were separated into groups and required to prepare plans for two Bendigo sites owned by La Trobe. These include the Osborne Street campus and an area near the Golden Square Shopping Centre.
“Throughout the semester, students worked with Bendigo-based experts in engineering, architecture, planning and real estate,” he said.
Mr Budge said the groups presented their design concepts in written and visual form to the panel.
