POLICE have confirmed newsXpress owner Garry Angus was stabbed to death overnight.Mr Angus was found dead about 11.30pm at the rear of his Pall Mall newsagency.NewsXpress customers, nearby shop owners and CBD office workers have been left shocked and saddened by the murder of Mr Angus.One of Mr Angus' regular customers, who wished to remain anonymous, said he "didn't know what to think" when he heard the news."I know Garry well from going in there to get TattsLotto tickets," he said."He was a real character, a laugh a minute."Cafe Essence owner Mark Richardson said the death had come as a big surprise."We get newspapers from him every day, I chat to him a bit because I'm interested in racing and he's got race horses," he said."He seemed to be a lovely fella from what I have seen of him, I know he's been there forever."This morning CBD workers walked past the roped off crime scene, lined with police officers and media, on their way to get coffee.Tony Pollard and Anne Tuohey said they were "shocked" to hear that a murder had been committed in Bendigo."It makes you feel sick, it's just terrible," they said."I feel devastated for the family."
