Since the new Bendigo venue was unveiled, the cub has received unprecedented support from trainers by way of nomination and trial demand.
Bendigo Greyhound Racing Association general manager Troy Harley said the permanent tier three meeting would provide participants the additional meeting necessary to meet the demand for racing in the region.
“Initially the new Tuesday meeting was to start in July, 2013, but GRV has uccessfully negotiated the introduction of the meeting from December.
“The club is extremely appreciative of the efforts of GRV and Sky Racing to have the meeting introduced earlier.
“With nominations regularly exceeding 250 for the tier three meetings and 200 for the full stake meetings, the permanent second meeting at both Bendigo and Ballarat will provide the necessary racing options for the participants in the region,” Harley said.
“The support for the new track has been overwhelming and the BGRA is grateful for the efforts of GRV to be granted an additional race meeting that will allow the club to maintain a professional structure and provide for the needs of its members and the participants of the region.
The new Tuesday meetings at Lord’s Raceway in Junortoun will start on December 4 and be run as an early afternoon-twilight meeting.
