Wheelchair tennis superstar and Australian of the Year Dylan Alcott will become the second disable person in the world to be immortalised with a Madame Tussauds wax figure.

The world number one had his first sitting in Sydney on Thursday, providing his measurements before the wax figure is made.
The only other person in a wheelchair to be made into a wax figure was scientist Stephen Hawking.

"I'd like to think we have the same intelligence," said the 31-year-old Paralympian on Thursday.
"For diversity and inclusion, which I'm all about, to be the second person ever in a wheelchair to do a sitting after Stephen Hawking. The whole wheelchair, everything's getting made. I actually got a bit emotional."
Alcott's figure will be placed in a replica wheelchair, identical to the one he played in when he won his 'golden slam' in 2021.
It will be exhibited in the sports zone inside Sydney's museum, alongside Sally Pearson, Shane Warne, Glenn McGrath, Dawn Fraser, Tim Cahill, Rod Laver and Lleyton Hewitt.
Dylan's wax figure will be in great company in the Madame Tussauds Sports zone - alongside the likes of Sally Pearson, Shane Warne, Glenn McGrath, Dawn Fraser, Tim Cahill and fellow tennis legends - Rod Laver and Lleyton Hewitt.
