A 72-year-old Bamawm man has died in a fatal single car crash on Torrumbarry-Roslynmead Road near Bickford Road in Roslynmead about 6:05pm.
Victoria Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash, after reports a car had crashed into a tree.
On arrival crews removed three people from the car and ambulance officers started treatment.
The driver, a 69-year-old Bamawm woman, and the other passenger, a 63-year-old Maiden Gully man, have been taken to hospital for treatment.
The exact cause of the crash is yet to be determined and investigations continue.

Air ambulance have been dispatched to the Roslynmead crash site where two people are being treated for upper body injuries.
A Victoria Police spokesperson confirmed it was a single vehicle crash.
Ambulance Victoria confirmed a third person was involved however could not comment on the state of the individual.
"For details on a third person, please refer to Victoria Police," a spokesperson said.
Four emergency service vehicles are responding to a road accident in Roslynmead which potentially trapped one person.

A CFA spokesperson confirmed it was notified of the crash at 6.05pm.
It is unclear how serious the situation is.
