Bendigo Health participated in the state government's booster blitz, which saw over 6,000 vaccinations take place at the Mollison Street clinic.
Bendigo Health chairman Bob Cameron said it was a fantastic effort.
"They are big numbers and that is a huge number for the blitz it is just fantastic to see the community getting their booster shot," he said.
"It's a fantastic result and response from a very pro-vaccination community in central Victoria."
Major hubs including Bendigo, Sandown and La Trobe University in Melbourne all extended their hours specifically for the blitz, which will ran from last Friday to Monday.
Mr Cameron said it was a great surprise to see the high number of vaccinations.
"We weren't expecting that large number at all, we were expecting people to turn out but we weren't expecting to be able to vaccinate as many as we did," he said.
"The team did a fantastic job down there, streamlining and getting people in and getting people out.
"It's a great credit to them and it's a great credit to people for wanting to get vaccinated."
"Overall we are doing really well, compared to other in the health system and the reason is that the Bendigo community is so vaccinated and that is a credit to central Victorians going to get vaccinated."
