Cricket Australia confirmed on Sunday that pace bowler Vlaeminck had suffered a reoccurence of the navicular stress fracture injury that cost her the chance of being part of Australia's Twenty20 World Cup winning team two years ago.
Vlaeminck had scans on her right foot after feeling pain during Thursday's first Ashes Twenty20 match in Adelaide.
"Tayla has sustained an acute navicular stress fracture," Australian team doctor Phillipa Inge said on Sunday.
"She had a similar injury in early 2020; this fracture completely healed and Tayla made a successful return to play international cricket in March, 2021.

"Tayla reported a return in midfoot pain and subsequent images have confirmed a recurrent stress fracture of the navicular.
"The Cricket Australia and Cricket Victoria medical teams will work collaboratively on the immediate management over the coming days and a subsequent return to play plan.
"She will be unavailable for the Ashes series and ODI World Cup."
Vlaeminck, 23, took 0-29 off four overs opening the bowling in Australia's T20 win over England on Thursday.
"She's devastated, but she's a tough nut and she'll be back," Vlaeminck's father, Paul, said of the injury setback.
One of the fastest women's bowlers in the game, Vlaeminck has played 24 matches for Australia - one Test against England in 2019, eight one-day internationals and 15 Twenty20 matches and taken 20 wickets across the three formats.
The women's Ashes series features three Twenty20 games, a one-off Test in Canberra that starts on Thursday, followed by three one-day internationals.
The Women's World Cup will be held in New Zealand from March 4 to April 3.
