About 270 teams across 22 divisions will take to basketball courts across the city in this weekend's Bendigo Junior Classic.
The annual tournament is one of the biggest sporting events in Bendigo, attracting thousands of people to the region.
The tournament is a stepping stone in the development of the next generation of senior Braves and Spirit players. NBA champion Matthew Dellavedova represented the Bendigo Junior Braves in the Bendigo Junior Classic as did Dyson Daniels, who is tipped to be selected in the first round of the NBA Draft in June.
"These representative tournaments are a big part of the development of junior players,'' Bendigo Basketball Association president Martin Spottiswood said.
"It's about having fun, enjoying basketball and competing at the next level with other up-and-coming athletes."
