Some 60,000 additional appointments will be available as part of a four-day blitz across state-run vaccination hubs.
Bendigo Health chairman Bob Cameron said 98 per cent of residents in the region were fully vaccinated and 30 per cent had received their booster.
"The people of Greater Bendigo and the Loddon Mallee are leading the way in this vaccination roll-out," he said.
"It's a testament to their dedication and we can't thank everyone enough for doing their part."
Bendigo Health currently has 184 people in their Hospital in the Home program and 25 patients in its COVID ward.
Of those, less than half of the patients are fully vaccinated.
Other news:
Mr Cameron said it was vital for residents to receive their booster shot.
"Vaccinations are like buying a new car, it's fantastic and working well in the beginning, but over time it wears down," he said.
"We know that while the first two vaccinations do protect people, having the booster gives that next level of added protection."
This blitz comes as the state government shortened the interval between second and third doses to three months at all state hubs.
Earlier this week, the emergency 'Code Brown' alert was sent out for all Victorian metropolitan hospitals and six regional hospitals, including Bendigo Health.
Mr Cameron said the service was in a good position compared to other big hospitals in the state.
"With such high vaccination rates last year and a significant amount of residents ready for their boosters, it means we're in a much better position compared to other hospitals," he said.
"I had a meeting with directors of other hospitals around the state and a lot of them are in a world of pain right now."
Mr Cameron, who had planned to leave his position at Bendigo Health in February, said the Department of Health had asked him to stay, maybe several weeks, to "keep consistency through this COVID-19 wave".
