The 28-year-old, Dylan Dunn-Carney, is accused of using the single barrel firearm to rob the BP service station on Peg Leg Road, on October 7 last year.
Police have alleged that the armed robbery netted the man $300 from the store.
The charges allege Mr Dunn-Carney was considered a "prohibited person" in relation to the firearm at the time of the incident.
There were multiple alleged offences under consideration by the court, covering separate incidents over a time period of nearly two years.
Documents held by the Magistrates Court show that Mr Dunn-Carney is facing charges which allege he discharged a firearm projectile during the 2021 robbery.
He is accused of reckless conduct that placed one or more people in danger of losing their lives during the commission of the robbery.
He is also charged with an additional count of using a firearm in a dangerous manner.
