A WATCH and act warning for Harcourt North residents has been downgraded to an advice message.
A CFA spokesperson said crews first responded to reports of a grass fire at 4.38pm on Sunday afternoon.

"The response was quickly escalated, with 12 CFA vehicles working with air support," the spokesperson said.
"The fire was contained to approximated 6 hectares of grass and scrub, and the scene was declared under control at 5.04pm."
The spokesperson said the fire was believed to be started by a slasher.

EMERGENCY services are currently responding to a fire in Harcourt North.
The grassfire is travelling from McIvor Road, Harcourt North in a north-easterly direction and was first listed at about 4.40pm on Sunday afternoon.
VicEmergency has issued a watch and act warning for Harcourt North.
The fire has been marked as under control.
