The Greater Bendigo region has recorded 191 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours - a slight rise from yesterday's 173 cases.
Unfortunately, according to data from the Department of Health active cases in the region have continued to grow, with the number now sitting at 1134.

In a sharp decline from Saturday's new case numbers, the Campaspe Shire recorded eight new cases overnight, bringing it's total number of active cases to 599.
The Central Goldfields Shire recorded 19 news cases and Ganawarra Shires recorded two new coronavirus cases.
Buloke Shire recorded another four new COVID cases in the last 24 hours and Loddon Shire another one.
The Macedon Ranges reported another 38 new cases and the Mount Alexander Shire another 14.
Earlier
VICTORIA recorded another 28,128 new COVID-19 cases overnight.
The new infections were detected from 10,337 at-home rapid antigen tests and 17,791 laboratory-run PCR tests.
Local case numbers reduced slightly as Greater Bendigo recorded 173 on Saturday.
Sadly, another 13 people have died from the virus and its complications, according to Department of Health statistics.
A total of 1,114 people are in hospital with COVID-19, 122 in intensive care and 35 on ventilators.

A 31-year-ols man was taken to Bendigo Hospital in the early hours of Saturday morning after he was assaulted by an unknown offender.
Bendigo Police Acting Senior Sergeant Tony Kekich said the man was allegedly assaulted by a offender at around 4am in Mimosa Court, Golden Square.
