A 31-YEAR-OLD man has been taken to Bendigo Hospital in the early hours of Saturday morning after he was assaulted by an unknown offender.

Bendigo Police Acting Senior Sergeant Tony Kekich said the man was allegedly assaulted by a offender at around 4am in Mimosa Court, Golden Square.
Sergeant Kekich said the man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
He said the offender has not been located.
The Bendigo Police Crime Investigation Unit is currently investigating the incident.
