National Retail Group (NRG Property) lodged strategic plans with the City of Greater Bendigo and are hopeful the plans will be approved by councillors in the next council meeting.

NRG Director Michael Spektor said the reimagined plans respond to community needs and represent an update to the previously approved planning application from 2017.
The final design and intersection upgrade works are the result of collaboration between National Retail Group, Epsom Village and council officers.
"National Retail Group is thrilled to bring these long overdue enhancements to Epsom Village and the local community," Mr Spektor said.
"Having secured international tenants, the village is being enhanced in line with community and environmental expectations."
The plans come following a spate of accidents at the intersection, one of which that involved two primary school-aged children.
The $18 million proposed works include $3 million for an upgrade to the Midland Highway and Howard Street intersection, which has been labelled dangerous by local residents.
Mr Spektor said the plans reflect community concerns.

"We have listened to community concerns around traffic, collaborated with council and the Department of Transport for 12 months and have agreed to deliver a generational intersection upgrade to the tune of $3 million," he said.
"We can't wait to deliver these improvements to the Epsom community."
If approved, NRG estimates more than 120 local construction jobs would come out of the project, and more than 100 people could find permanent work in the new proposed retailers and other facilities.
