The Panthers have been the big surprise packets of 2021-22 after what coach David Blume had touted heading into round one was a development season.
However, the Panthers sit inside the top four coming out of the break after a fruitful start, but have a difficult stretch of games coming up against Emu Creek (5th), United (3rd) and Mandurang (1st) among their next four that will test their capabilities.

The reigning premiers are on the outside of the top four looking in ahead of the season re-start this Saturday.
Won the games you'd expect them to against West Bendigo, California Gully and Axe Creek, but come up short in their two biggest tests against United and Mandurang.
Veteran Todd Brown is in top nick having made 252 runs from his four hits so far and been dismissed for no less than 40 yet, but will miss the next two games.

The season started with a bang for the Redbacks with a thumping 149-run win over Sedgwick that had them the first team to sit on top of the ladder.
But only one win since against California Gully has the Redbacks back in seventh position.
Going okay with the bat with five players having made at least 118 runs, but need to lift with the ball having already conceded three scores of 200-plus.

Been hard yards so far for the Cobras, who return to the field on the bottom of the ladder and still chasing their first win.
Been particularly tough going with the ball having held their opposition to a score under 230 just once in their five games played so far.
