Eleven CFA fire trucks and volunteer firefighters have brought the grassfire under control with the assistance of air wing on Thursday afternoon.
Brigades from Bridgewater, Rheola, Inglewood, Dunolly, Marong, Woodstock West, Newbridge and Murphys creek responded to the blaze and brought it under control by 3pm.

An advice message has been issued for the townships of Arnold, Arnold West, Bridgewater, Llanelly, Newbridge.
The CFA has advised the community of a grassfire on the Bridgewater Maldon Road, near the intersection with Morses Road that is not yet under control.
This grassfire is travelling from the road in a westerly direction towards the Bridgewater-Dunolly Road.
Smoke will be visible from nearby communities and roads.
CFA have advised people to avoid travelling on the road and in the area to allow emergency services to respond.

CFA crews are fighting a fire between Bridgewater and Newbridge on Thursday afternoon.
A spokesperson said firefighters were alerted to the grass fire on the Bridgewater-Maldon Road at around 2.15pm.
Six tankers from Bridgewater, Inglewood, Woodstock West, Murphy's Creek and Newbridge are on scene and are working to knock down the head of the fire.
The spokesperson said the fire is covering up to 10 acres and spreading.
Aircraft have been requested to help assist firefighters on the ground.
