Bendigo Bank in Mitchell Street is using its festive window display to rustle up extra donations as the appeal edges towards its $100,000 target.

The Bendigo Yarn Bombers have knitted up a woolly wonderland in the windows of the branch, including gifts wrapped with festive ribbons and bows and cheerful bunting all made from clever crochet patterns.

Regional manager for Bendigo Bank Dylan Villani said a donation station had been set up in the branch so people could purchase the festive gift tags (pictured) for their own trees at home.

"Bendigo Bank has been the naming rights sponsor of the Christmas appeal for many years,'' he said.

"Its support of paediatric services is a cause that is very close to our hearts."

Mr Villani said the branch had dedicated part of its floor space to pop up stalls for local artists and businesses, some of whom were giving a portion of their profits to the appeal.

Bendigo Health Fundraising Foundation manager Rachel Mason said the support was greatly appreciated.

"It makes a huge difference to us and moves us closer to our goal of being able to buy paediatric equipment for the new hydrotherapy pool,'' she said.

"We also want to buy children's gym equipment to create a mini-gym which will help with rehabilitation to help get kids back to doing what they love."

The fundraising foundation is selling last minute Christmas gifts in the form of $25 virtual Christmas e-cards to help people know a donation had been made on their behalf.

Ms Mason said the appeal would still accept donations in the early New Year and that people were welcome to watch the fundraising tally grow online.
