The Bendigo Spirit suffered their second WNBL loss in three days when they went down to the University of Canberra Capitals 100-88 on Wednesday night.

The Spirit had a poor shooting night in their 81-56 loss to the Melbourne Boomers on Sunday night, but this time it was the other end of the floor that haunted Bendigo.
The Capitals' 100 points came at an efficient 57 per cent from the floor as the Spirit slipped to a 1-3 record.
The Spirit couldn't stop the Capitals, even though the home side was without star forward Kelsey Griffin.
The Capitals set the tone by racing to a nine-point lead at the first change and they extended that margin to as much as 19.
Anneli Maley, the Spirit's best player across the first four games, continued her outstanding form with a career-high 38 points to go with 19 rebounds and four assists.
Maley's performance was a gentle reminder to Opals coach Sandy Brondello, who left the power forward out of the recently-named national training squad for next year's World Cup.
Maddie Garrick scored 12 points for the Spirit, but shot at just 20 percent from the field.
Opals guards Leiliani Mitchell and Tessa Lavey struggled again for the Spirit. Mitchell had four points and five assists, while Lavey scored seven points on 3-12 shooting.
The Capitals had six players score in double figures, led by American import Brittany Sykes with 33.
Former Bendigo Spirit guard Kelly Wilson produced 14 points and nine assists for the Capitals.
The Spirit's next match is on December 29 in Sydney against the Sydney Uni Flames.
