State Members for Bendigo Jacinta Allan and Maree Edwards recently welcomed funding grants through Engage! and FReeZA, which support important youth engagement programs across central Victoria.
"This funding boost will give young people in Central Victoria more opportunities to develop their skills, express themselves creatively and make change in our community," Ms Allan said.
Through the Engage! Program, YO Bendigo and Get engaged with your life! will receive $150,000 each to support their work with young people and Bigger Than Hip-Hop will receive $135,000.
Engage! events are co designed with young people to deliver a broad range of activities including mentoring, building life skills and showcasing their creativity and talents.
Through the FReeZA Program, YO Events will receive $106,500, and Big Upz will receive $53,250 to continue the connection, support and development of local young people.
"We are supporting local youth organisations and local governments to engage with young people and make a lasting difference within our region," Ms Edwards said.
