BENDIGO police twice arrested a man for breaching an intervention order after he called officers while under the influence of prescription drugs, a court has heard.

The 25-year-old man appeared in the Bendigo Magistrates' Court on Monday where he pleaded guilty to persistently breaching a family violence intervention order.
The court heard the man's partner was listed as the protected person on the order, with the man not allowed to go to her home or be near the woman.
Police were called to a neighbour dispute at the woman's Long Gully property on Saturday afternoon. When officers arrived on scene, they saw the 25-year-old at the property with the woman.
He was arrested for breaching the order and released on bail from the Bendigo Police Station.
The court heard shortly after midnight, the police were again called to the Long Gully address and the man was found in contravention of the order.
The man was again charged and remanded in custody.
Defence lawyer Eleanor Miller said the man had taken a Xanax tablet on Friday night and when he woke up on Saturday, he believed his car was stolen.
Ms Miller said the man thought the neighbours were responsible, which led to the dispute and the police being called.

The defence lawyer said after he was bailed from the police station, the man went back to his partner's house, slept, and woke up again believing his car had been stolen.
Ms Miller said the man forgot he had been bailed earlier that day so he contacted police to report the stolen vehicle.
He was subsequently arrested for again breaching the intervention order, the defence lawyer said.
Ms Miller told the court the man was on a community corrections order at the time of the offending, but was yet to complete any of the counselling or treatment requirements.
Ms Miller submitted that a fine would be an appropriate sentence for the low range offending.
But Magistrate Megan Aumair said she would instead defer sentence to see if the man could stay out of trouble and away from drugs.
Ms Aumair adjourned the case to next month. She released the man on bail with conditions that he followed his corrections order.
