Mandurang set up its win over United with a fine bowling and fielding display and then overcame some nervous moments late with the bat to leapfrog Spring Gully at the top of the table.
Mandurang took down United's vaunted batting line-up.
Beau Clements (3-26), James Pietromonaco (3-28) and James Bailey (2-19) bowled superbly and, just as importantly, Mandurang held onto some crucial catches as it dismissed United for 134.
The highest score for the Tigers was extras - with Mandurang conceding 24 runs in wides.
United returned the favour with the ball.
The Tigers conceded 39 runs in extras, including 27 in wides, which proved critical considering it took Mandurang until the final over to pass the home side's score.
Phil Berry (55 not out off 101 balls) was the glue that kept Mandurang's innings together.
Berry, who was the only batter to score more than 14, hit a boundary off the fourth ball of the final over to seal a two-wicket win.
Kane Goldsworthy (3-41) was the most successful bowler for United, while James Smith (2-20 off eight overs) and Mitch Whittle (1-11 off eight overs) kept the Tigers in the game.
Sedgwick finally broke through for its first win of the summer.
Jordan Ilsley smashed seven sixes and eight fours on his way to 108 not out off 87 balls to lead the Rams to 5-222 off 40 overs against Marong.
With seven balls of the innings remaining, Ilsley was 82 not out.
He hit a six off the final ball of the penultimate over to move to 88 not out, but didn't get on strike in the final over, bowled by Brendan Shepherd, until the third ball.
Ilsley teed off and hit the next two balls for six to bring up his century and for good measure made it three sixes in a row before scoring two runs off the last ball of the innings.
Ilsley and Steven Stroobants (44 off 30 balls) came together with the Rams 3-93 after 27 overs.
In the space of 62 balls they added 93 runs, including Stroobants hitting Alex Gorrie for three sixes in one over.
In reply, Marong never looked like chasing down the total.
David Blume (55 off 84 balls) and some late hitting by Amarpeet Singh (39 off 16 balls) gave the Panthers a respectable score of 9-190.
Scott McKenzie (4-32) and Hunter Austin (3-50) did the damage with the ball for the Rams, while Ilsley capped a fine day by taking 1-11 off six overs.
Emu Creek ended Axe Creek's winning streak.
Todd Brown's third half-century in four hits this season laid the foundation for Emu Creek's big total of 8-231.
Brown (50) and Brad Rowe (43) added 76 for the second wicket, while Tom McGregor chipped in with 38.
Dean Comensoli grabbed 4-47 for Axe Creek, including the wickets of Brown and Rowe.
Axe Creek's run chase was always going to rely heavily on Joel Bish and Shiran Kulathunga.
For a period they looked like causing some headaches for the home side.
Brown made the crucial breakthrough when he had Bish caught for 40 and a short time later Kulathunga was caught by Brown off the in-form Luke Bennett (2-27) for 33 off 26 balls.
From there Emu Creek always looked safe and Axe Creek batted out its overs to reach 7-190.
West Bendigo snapped its four-game losing streak by defeating California Gully by 70 runs.
Tom Floyd's 94 off 84 balls and Josh Eastley's 53 off 68 balls set up the Redbacks' imposing total of 7-256.
Aidan White (3-37) bowled well on a tough day for the Cobras.
Travis Nolan (72 not out off 120 balls) and Justin Bice (54 off 60 balls) continued their good seasons with the bat in California Gully's reply of 6-186.
