ONE MALE has been taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital after a two-vehicle crash on the Calder Freeway this morning.
He was one of two people paramedics assessed at the scene in Carlsruhe.
The hospitalised male is believed to be in a stable condition.

EMERGENCY service crews have extracted a person from a crashed vehicle in Carlsruhe, south of Kyneton.
Two vehicles crashed in northbound lanes of the Calder Highway at about 7.30am on Tuesday.
Members of the State Emergency Service and Country Fire Authority helped remove one person from a vehicle by approximately 8.15am.
One lane of traffic was closed northbound during the operation but is understood to have reopened.
