A fire that burned over 12 hectares in Tennyson has been brought under control on Monday afternoon.
The Lockington CFA incident controller said that the fire was likely as a result of a faulty header machine, operating on a hay field.
It took 12 CFA vehicles and air support over an hour to get the fire under control.
The incident was marked safe at 4pm and remaining CFA vehicles have just left the scene after blacking out the area.

A fire that burned out of control in Tennyson on Monday afternoon may have been started by a header.
One is sitting in a field that has been burned by the grass fire. It bears no visible signs of damage and emergency service workers are yet to confirm the exact circumstances of the fire.
It did not start in a part of the state affected by Monday's total fire bans.
The blaze let off thick plumes of smoke at its height, triggering an advice message to people in the area.
Smoke is still visible but not thick at the scene.
About 12 hectares appears to have been burned by the fire, which firefighters say is under control.
Twelve firefighting appliances remain on scene.

The fire has been brought under control but is not out.
An advice message remains in force after the fire got into haybales and gave off a large amount of smoke.

FIREFIGHTERS have issued a public advice message for a blaze burning in Tennyson.
The advice message is targeted at people living in the area as well as residents of Dingee and Milloo.
"There is a bushfire at South of Prairie-Rochester Road approximately 11km West of Tennyson that is not yet under control," it reads.
"There are multiple haybales on fire that will continue to smoulder and give off smoke. There is currently no threat to you, but you should stay informed and plan for what you will do if the situation changes."
A total of 13 firefighting appliances are currently at the scene of the fire.

- Review your fire survival plan.
- If you do not have a plan, decide what you will do if the situation changes.
- Keep the roads clear so emergency services can respond.

A FIREGHTING helicopter crew is among CFA teams arriving at a fire in Tennyson, north of Bendigo.
As many as seven crews are responding to the fire first reported at roughly 12.40pm this afternoon.
The fire is burning near Prairie-Rochester Road, near Dingee, according to VicEmergency.
It is understood to be several hectares in size and it is unclear what caused the fire.
The fire is not taking place in an area where a total fire ban was declared earlier today in other parts of Victoria.
The area of total fire ban is roughly 150km away. in the north western, and western regions.
