David Anthony Dicker, 56, appeared in the Bendigo Magistrates' Court on Monday where he pleaded guilty to charges including fraudulently altering a prescription and criminal damage.

The court heard on February 23 this year, Dicker received a prescription from Echuca District Hospital for 10 5ml Endone tablets.

Between February 23 and February 25, the 56-year-old manually altered the script from 10 to 100.

Dicker went to a Kangaroo Flat pharmacy on February 25 to try and obtain the tablets.

The court heard the pharmacist was concerned about the excessive number of tablets, so they contacted the doctor who confirmed that was not the prescribed amount.

Police were notified of the offending and Dicker was arrested on May 9. He made full admissions.

On the morning of July 13, Dicker went to the former ANZ bank on High Street in Kangaroo Flat.

The court heard the property was unoccupied at the time and in the care of a real estate agent.

That morning, Dicker kicked one of the glass windows, shattering it. The damage was valued at $2550.

The real estate representative contacted police that afternoon and Dicker was arrested on July 24.

He made full admissions, telling the police he "got cranky" and put his foot through the window. Dicker also said he did not know why he offended, simply that he "lost it".

Dicker, who represented himself in court, said he despised himself for altering his medical prescription.

He said he had a major operation on his chest after he was stabbed five times in February.

Dicker also told the court he had a temper so he could not control himself when it came to the criminal damage charge.

Magistrate Russell Kelly said the offending was not the smartest move.

Mr Kelly convicted and fined Dicker $500. He also ordered the 56-year-old to pay $2550 in compensation for the damaged window.
