One vehicle remains at the scene of a fire that almost claimed a house in Kamarooka this afternoon.
Five CFA trucks and multiple locals with water tanks on the back of their utes helped black out smouldering ground in the aftermath of a fire, which came close to burning down a dwelling at the the property.
Flames came within an estimated 30 metres of claiming a house on the property and burned through several paddocks.
No livestock appear to have been threatened by the flames.
It is understood the fire is not being treated as suspicious.

The Kamarooka grassfire is now under control.
The blaze was burning over 30 acres but a CFA spokesperson has confirmed it is now under control.
There has been no confirmation about lost structures, however, the flames got to between 10 to 20 metres of a local home.
It appeared as though the flames had burnt through a paddock before arriving near the home, but no crops appeared to be damaged.
Multiple fire trucks and private firefighting crews on scene.
Earlier
Emergency services are responding to a bushfire in Kamarooka which began around 3pm on Friday afternoon.
Three CFA tankers are currently on scene.
The blaze is along Kamarooka Store Road, it's unclear if anyone is injured or any property damaged.
