In good news, Greater Bendigo active COVID-19 case numbers have dropped below 100 for the first time since November 23, bringing the region's total active cases to 98.
Unfortunately, the region has also reached a grim milestone in the last 24 hours. On Tuesday Bendigo recorded another six cases, taking the total of cases recorded in the region to 901.
Postcodes 3551 and 3550 have had two cases each linked to them, while 3551 and 3561 recorded one new case each.
In surrounding shires, Macedon Ranges recorded four additional cases, taking their total of active cases to 33.
Meanwhile, Loddon Shire and Mount Alexander Shire each recorded zero cases however the Central Goldfields Shire and Campaspe Shire both recorded one new case.
Earlier
Victoria has seen 1,185 new COVID-19 cases overnight, taking the state's active cases to 13,050.
Sadly, seven people died of coronavirus.
Monday also saw 52,257 COVID-19 test results returned to Victorians and 3,769 vaccinations administered.
Victoria's double vaccination rate now stands at 91 per cent.

The two new cases were linked to postcodes 3550 and 3551. According to data from the Department of Health coronavirus website, these two postcodes have had the most COVID-19 cases in Bendigo since the beginning of the pandemic.
The total number of COVID-19 cases in Bendigo since the pandemic began is 896. It is expected the region will cross over 900 cases this week.
What's making news?
On Monday afternoon, three people were taken to hospital and one person died following a fatal collision on the Calder Freeway.
In a separate crash in Golden Square, one woman and her young granddaughter are in a stable condition in hospital after their car was hit by a truck.
The pair were taken to Bendigo Health after a truck crashed into the back of their Nissan Micra about 2pm on Monday.
