
RUNNING in bare feet, Geoff Jordan showed his rivals a clean pair of heels as he won Thursday night's third race in the Hilson Builders 1200m as part of the Bendigo Athletic Club's distance series.
Now in its 35th year, the series is held in conjuction with the Bendigo and District Cycling Club's track racing at the Tom Flood Sports Centre in Barnard Street.

A field of 11 included race sponsor and long-time athlete Greg Hilson.
A key to the Bendigo Harriers success in last season's rise from division three to two in Athletics Victoria's Shield League, Jordan is a keen competitor in track and field.
In Thursday night's he moved smoothly on the grass surface to claim victory in 4.56 minutes.
Runner-up was BAC president Justine Babitsch as Daniel Ryan fought on to be third.
Fastest time went to Rhys Lias from South Bendigo Athletics Club in 3.45 minutes.
There will be no athletics race this Thursday.
Next round will be the Dan Ryan Bricklaying-sponsored 1000m on December 16. Race time will be about 7.15pm.
