CREWS have rescued a dog that was stuck down a mine near Castlemaine.
Earlier
FIREFIGHTERS are preparing to attempt to rescue a dog that is stuck in a mine at Golden Point, near Castlemaine.
Crews are arriving at the site on a bush track in the Castlemaine Diggings National Park.
The Bendigo Advertiser understands the dog is alive and has been stuck for a day or so.
It is unclear whether the dog fell down an open mineshaft.
Four emergency vehicles have been called to the incident, at least one of which is on scene.
